[Elisabeth Beal] The opportunities here at the law school are vast from substantive courses where students learn about different areas of the law to practical opportunities like clinics and externships. Our students are ready to go the minute they walk across that graduation stage and start their careers as lawyers. Our students and graduates secure opportunities both for summer and postgrad employment here locally in South Carolina, but also all over the country.

About half of our graduates secure their first postgrad position in South Carolina and the rest go across the country and even internationally. Employers visit campus during both the fall and spring semester. In addition, we offer off campus interview opportunities in Charlotte and Charleston and we participate in off-campus interview programs as part of law school consortia in places as far as Chicago and Atlanta.

[Elizabeth Crane] So USC Law prepare students for their careers by offering a number of experiential learning opportunities. Also, the expertise the faculty bring to the classroom is unparalleled. We help them with their job, search, their interviewing strategy, find employers and build a target employer list so that they are able to intentionally and thoughtfully apply for jobs that are most of interest to them.

Our alumni are a great resource for our students. The alumni love coming onto campus to meet with students and share their expertize in their fields. They also help our students find opportunities and get them plugged in to the local legal profession and community.

[Ben Garren] I work for the Coca-Cola Company, which is the largest beverage company in the world. I am the general counsel for International. So I look after our international operations and I feel very fortunate to have been able to be a part of this great company. And none of this would have been possible without the four years that I spent at a law school and the great foundation that I got there and the relationships that I developed there.
